BARUCH COLLEGE — For the more than 4.8 million undergraduate college students in the United States who have dependent children, juggling school with child care is no easy task. A study conducted by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research in September 2017 found that four in 10 women at two-year colleges were “likely or very likely to drop out of school” due to child care obligations, meaning that now, more than ever, student parents are requiring a support system.
